Overview
Molex supplies machine-mountable HarshIO Modules to support all major industrial fieldbus' including CANopen, EtherNet/IP, CIP Safety and PROFINET. Expertise in industrial communications and in-house manufacturing capability allows Molex to deliver high-quality products that are compliant with industrial standards.
Product characteristics of Harsh-Duty IO Modules such as 60.00 and 30.00mm housing formats, user configurable I/O channels, and 4- and 5-pin power versions simplify user choice and offer customers a broad product range. Each module comes equipped with diagnostic LEDs to provide status information on network, power and input/ output. HarshIO modules accept standard threaded M8, M12 or Ultra-Lock M12 Connectors.
HarshIO Modules feature QuickConnect (QC) for EtherNet/IP and Fast Start-Up (FSU) technology for PROFINET to bring exceptional speed and versatility to all industries using automatic tool change (ATC) robots for repetitive tasks with precision. QC and FSU functionality enable modules to start and operate in 500ms and meet the requirements of automotive manufacturers.
Motorized Drive Rollers (MDR) typically require a proprietary system to operate, which are specific to one MDR manufacturer. Molex’s HarshIO modules allow any Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC/PAC) to connect to MDRs over an Ethernet fieldbus.
