Features and Benefits
Hand tools
Hand crimp tools, insertion and extraction tools, and more. Manually powered hand tools for low-volume use or field repair with loose piece packaging formats.
Applicators
Designed to industry-standard mounting and 135.80mm (5.346”) shut height. Easy to set up and simple adjustments to ensure optimal crimps. Compatible with most industry-standard benchtop crimping presses and wire processors for mid-volume crimping solutions. Mechanical and pneumatic feed options are available.
Crimping presses
Electric, pneumatic, hydraulic and IDT presses for mid-volume semi-automatic operations:
TM-3000 and TM-4000 electric crimping presses are designed to effectively apply a wide range of side-feed and rear-feed terminals to a pre-stripped discrete wire or cable. Production flexibility is obtained using interchangeable Molex applicators and most industry-standard applicators.
Wire stripping and cutting
Hand and pneumatic wire strippers and cutters prepare various wires and cables for your unique application.
Tooling support
Hand crimp tools, insertion and extraction tools, and more. Manually powered Superior customer service sets Molex apart. Connect with our industry experts via support email, field service, or tooling evaluations to achieve optimal tool performance.
Overview
Hand Tools: Low-volume users can choose from a range of snap-on modules that mount to a common pistol or bench mounted holder. These modules can be easily changed to accommodate various connector styles. Typically, these tools yield production rates of up to approximately 180 terminations per hour depending on the application.
Manual Press Tools: For medium production volumes, Molex offers a variety of manual press bench tools designed to process cable or discrete wire to further increase productivity. For tools in this category, production rates of up to 180 terminations per hour or more for discrete wire or IDT terminations are not uncommon depending on the application.
Fully-Automatic Machines: For high volumes, Molex offers our industry standard applicator tools to increase the end users' productivity. Our applicators will process in most of the industry standard wire processors in the marketplace. For tools in this category, production rates of up to 3000 termination per hour for discrete wire are not uncommon depending on the application.
Special Machines: Molex can quote special machines upon request with optional features that parallel the Phoenix/Eagle Series. In general, these machines differ by the manner in which connector termination and wire handling is accomplished. Additionally, daisy chain and different connector orientations can be accomplished.
